About Richard...
After more than 20 years consulting as an engineer and information technology specialist, Richard is now back in academia, studying a Masters of Environment. Interested in energy transitions, particularly the role of sustainable energy solutions in remote communities and developing countries, his research is currently focused on community energy projects. Richard loves experiencing out-of-the-way corners of the world, notably participating in expeditions to Alaska and Namibia, working with endangered wildlife in Southern and Eastern Africa, and working as a Dive Master in Thailand. He lives in Melbourne with his "amazing wife and three incredible sons".

About Emily...
After completing a Bachelor of Science at Monash University specializing in zoology and ecology, Emily further developed an interest in environmental studies. She is a current Master of Environments student in her second semester, under the stream of conservation and restoration. Her interests include conservation studies, environmental and animal science and the interaction between species and habitat in the midst of a new era, the anthropocene.
